We have
heard from many clients that have not yet received their Indiana
individual tax refunds. We contacted the Indiana Department of
Revenue (IDOR) and have determined that Indiana is not releasing the
refunds until they receive a copy of the W-2, 1099-R or other
documents supporting withholding and tax credits. Although this
seems counterproductive to the state’s mandate to electronically
file, we have been told that if we want the refund we need to send
the information.
