Somerset CPAs is pleased to announce that Robert L. Anderson has joined the firm as a consultant on the Construction & Architectural/Engineering Team. Robert will be instrumental in assisting Somerset with its Contractor Business Services. These services are designed to assist construction companies with a variety of issues, including operational and management consulting and accounting and tax needs.

Robert comes to Somerset with more than 35 years experience in the contracting industry. Robert has been consulting construction companies for over 14 years and in 2005 founded his own local consulting business, providing services to help small business owners improve their bottom lines and build profit centers. Robert has also worked closely with contractors, subcontractors and other small business owners educating them with true labor and equipment costs, budget planning and a myriad of administrative issues. In addition, Robert has experience providing clients with succession planning and ownership transition services. He has helped clients increase productivity, income and profitability, all while working within their financial means. Before beginning his consulting business, Robert owned and operated an electrical contracting business for more than 20 years. He is recognized as an effective speaker and seminar facilitator on the subject of helping professionalize and grow small contracting companies. Robert often speaks at company gatherings, association conferences and seminars. Robert holds a bachelor's degree from Ball State University.
